Pitching an Article
A great pitch is the foundation of a great article. We're always looking for fresh angles on gaming news, in-depth reviews, expert guides, esports coverage, and community stories that resonate with Egypt's gaming scene.
What Makes a Strong Pitch?
- Clear Angle: What's the unique perspective or hook? Why will readers care?
- Relevance: Does it align with our content pillars (News, Reviews, Guides, Esports, Community)?
- Timeliness: Is it tied to a current event, release, or trending topic?
- Feasibility: Can you deliver it on deadline with credible sources?
To submit a pitch, send an email to hello@pixelverge.com with the subject line "Article Pitch: [Your Topic]". Include a 2–3 paragraph summary, your proposed word count, and any relevant clips or credentials. We aim to respond within 3–5 business days.

Get in TouchDrafting & Editing
Once your pitch is approved, you'll work closely with an assigned editor throughout the drafting process. Our editors are here to help you refine your ideas, sharpen your prose, and ensure your article meets NexPlay's editorial standards.
Writers typically submit a first draft by the agreed deadline. The editor reviews for structure, clarity, tone, and adherence to our style guide. Depending on the complexity of the piece, there may be one or more revision rounds. We encourage open communication—questions, clarifications, and collaborative problem-solving are all part of the process.
Our Style Guide Highlights
- Write in clear, accessible language—avoid jargon unless it's widely understood by gamers.
- Use active voice and strong verbs.
- Back up claims with evidence: quotes, stats, screenshots, or official sources.
- Maintain a balanced, objective tone in news and reviews; personal voice is welcome in opinion pieces.
- Follow AP style for dates, numbers, and capitalization.
Quality control is paramount. Every article is read by at least two editors before publication, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and polish.
Fact-Checking & Verification
Journalistic integrity is non-negotiable at NexPlay. Before any article goes live, our fact-checking team verifies every claim, quote, and piece of data. We cross-reference official press releases, developer statements, gameplay footage, and credible third-party sources.
If we discover an error after publication, we correct it immediately and add a transparent correction note at the bottom of the article. Readers trust us to get the facts right, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Our Verification Process
- Source Review: All quotes and statistics are traced back to primary sources.
- Screenshot & Footage Check: Visual evidence is examined for authenticity and context.
- Cross-Referencing: Claims are verified against multiple credible outlets when possible.
- Correction Policy: Errors are corrected promptly with full transparency.
This rigorous approach ensures that NexPlay remains a trusted voice in Egypt's gaming community—one that readers can rely on for accurate, honest reporting.
Our Article Anatomy
Every NexPlay article follows a clear, reader-friendly structure designed to deliver information efficiently and keep readers engaged from start to finish. Understanding this template helps contributors craft pieces that fit seamlessly into our editorial flow.
Lede (Opening Paragraph)
The lede hooks the reader immediately, summarizing the most important information and establishing the article's angle. It answers the "why should I care?" question upfront.
Context & Background
Provide necessary context for readers who may not be familiar with the topic. This section sets the stage without overwhelming newcomers.
Body Sections
Break the main content into clear, digestible sections with descriptive subheadings. Each section should advance the narrative or argument logically.
Evidence & Analysis
Support your points with quotes, data, screenshots, or hands-on impressions. Analysis should be insightful and grounded in evidence.
Verdict or Conclusion
Wrap up with a clear takeaway. For reviews, this is the final score and recommendation. For news, it's the broader implication or next steps.
Metadata & Tags
Every article is tagged with relevant categories (News, Reviews, Guides, Esports, Community) and keywords for discoverability and SEO.
This structure ensures consistency across our platform while giving writers the flexibility to bring their unique voice and expertise to each piece.
Going Live & Promotion
Once an article passes all editorial checks, it's scheduled for publication. We carefully time releases to maximize visibility—major features often go live during peak traffic hours, while evergreen guides are published to align with search trends.
Publication is just the beginning. Our promotion strategy ensures that your hard work reaches the widest possible audience.

Every article is shared across our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram channels with custom graphics and engaging captions.
Newsletter
Featured articles are included in our weekly newsletter, delivered to thousands of subscribers every Friday.

We share stories in relevant gaming communities, forums, and Discord servers to spark conversation and feedback.
